Middle School: Post 12

Yesterday at school, we had to go on a soft lockdown for about an hour.  I was in my 7th period class packing up to go to 8th period when they came on the intercom enforcing the lockdown.  During a hard ,and sometimes soft, lockdowns you sit down against a wall or in a small room with the lights turned off so nobody will think you are there.  The reason for this lockdown was that someone had called in a threat to the high school nearby.  The high school near us stayed on lockdown for about 4 hours.  I know there were police surrounding the high school.  From what I heard there were police surrounding our school too, but I'm not sure.  Halfway through the lockdown, we could go back to our seats and turn the lights on.  Well, the kids in my class don't know how to be quiet.  My teacher told us, "the next person that says a word, gets a referral". We ended up dismissing from our 7th period classroom.  My teacher's classroom had flooded a little with just a heavy rain,so when we dismissed, the bottom lockers(me) had to move their textbooks because our lockers would most likely get flooded(hurricane Florence).  I moved mine on top of my locker shelf.  The high school students were escorted out by armed police officers at dismissal.
