Venus is the second planet from the Sun, yet it is the hottest planet. It is the second brightest object in the night sky after the moon. Venus has no moons and is sometimes referred as Earth’s sister planet due to their similar mass and size. Venus’s surface temperature can reach up to 462 degrees celsius. It takes Venus 225 days to orbit around the Sun. A day on Venus takes 173 Earth days.
